Splash Mountain this ain’t.

Shortly before I left work today I took this screenshot of the radar that shows the precipitation activity over South Florida. I work in the town of Jupiter which hadn’t seen much rain that afternoon, but a short drive south to West Palm Beach revealed a different picture. It had been raining nonstop for several hours and the roads were getting flooded.
Driving home from work today was an absolute nightmare. I was driving on the interstate when I noticed the traffic slowing down, so I got off at the next exit. Traffic was very heavy at the street where I got off so I decided to go down one of the side streets that normally doesn’t have much traffic. Surprise, traffic was heavy there too. It seemed no matter which side street I took, traffic was horrible. It took me twice as long to get home but I made it safe and sound. I got out of my car feeling I had finally found a parking spot at Disney World.
