Xtreme Download Manager is an excellent, free download manager I use for my downloading needs. It’s a versatile tool that works well with all web browsers and is packed with cool features, such as its YouTube video downloader. Its strongest feature is its ability to download files faster than your web browser, thanks to its file segmentation technology that reuses available connections without going through the reconnect stages of downloading. I especially like its pause/resume feature that completes broken downloads, a problem I encounter too often when downloading large programs using my favorite web browser. Even better, it’s open source and ad-free. Download managers don’t get any better than this.
