The accidental poll.

Earlier today I posted two haikus on Valentine’s Day with the intent on capturing the two main moods felt by many when it comes to observing this holiday. Since then I noticed something interesting. The haiku entitled “Valentine’s Day Appreciated” got 2 likes while “Valentine’s Day Depreciated” got a total of 6 likes. I sense there aren’t too many fans of February 14.

I think I’m on to something with these poetic polls. Instead of responding to a boring question, you’d be reacting to the poem itself. I wonder if that’s a more accurate measurement of the way people think. Time will tell, but in the meantime this does sound like an avenue worth exploring.
